When we bike to our friends house, we cross the floodway under a bridge. That's always my favourite part of the ride, because we always see Cliff Swallows nesting under the bridge and shorebirds along the water's edge. We've seen Killdeer, Spotted Sandpipers, Ruddy Turnstones, and my brother has seen a Willet. Spotted Sandpipers and Ruddy Turnstones were both lifers!
